Russell is the legendary Robin Hood in the movie. For many years, people have been listening to the heroic tales and adventure of Robin Hood. The story is set in the 13th century where Robin Hood and his men rise against corruption and create an uprising. The movie is about his adventures after he leaves from the service King Richard. He reaches a town which is filled with corruption. Here he falls for a widow Lady Marion (played by Cate Blanchett), who does not trust him at all.
He hopes to win the hand of Lady Marion and wants to end the corruption prevailing all around. With this, he assembles a gang of skilled men who fight against the corrupt and indulgent upper class people. The movie is all about action and adventure.
