The Story: Badmaash Company is the story of four ordinary youngsters (Karan, Bulbul, Zing and Chandu) in 1990s Bombay, who come together to start a business. They find a way to beat the system and soon become millionaires, realizing their one dream of making quick money by doing all the wrong things.The four friends discover that to make a business successful you do not need big money, but rather a big idea.

Review

After the success of the critically-acclaimed super-duper hit movie ‘Kaminey’, Shahid Kapur is yet again donning a negative role in the movie ‘Badmaash Company’. The movie marks the directorial debut of well-known artiste, Parmeet Sethi, who has also written the script, dialogues and screenplay for the same. It has been produced by Aditya Chopra, under the banner of Yash Raj Films. The energetic, fast-paced music has been composed by Pritam Chakraborty, and the lyrics are penned by Anvita Dutt Guptan. Both Shahid and Anushka will be seen in a young, fresh and altogether new look. The duo is supported by Meiyang Chang and Vir Das, who play important characters in the film. The movie is set for a 7^th May, 2010 release.

The story revolves around four young friends who start a company together which attains instant success, only by using unorthodox methods. The movie is set in the middle class Bombay in the 1990s where four ordinary youngsters, Karan (Shahid Kapur), Bulbul (Anushka Sharma), Zing (Meiyang Chang) and Chandu (Vir Das) join hands to set a business of importing things that are long-desired by yuppie Indians. With a stupendous immediate success, the four become the kings in their business. This marks the realization of one of their dreams of earning quick and large bucks. But this is just the beginning. Soon, they realize that money is not all that is required to make a business successful and that there’s more to it! Hence, starts the journey of the four friends into the world of sheer glitz and glamour, with wild roller-coaster rides and high stakes.

All goes well, until one day the four friends are forced to shut their business. However, they are out with yet another plan to realize their dreams. Will they finally achieve the success and fame that they had been longing for? Will their unorthodox ways be fruitful? With ‘Badmaash Company’, Anushka Sharma is all set to come out from her ‘girl-next-door’avatar that she sported in ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’, to a glamorous svelte chic wearing cool and funky tops and hot pants. As for Shahid Kapur, he too is seen sporting a new cropped spike look. After ‘Chance Pe Dance’ and ‘Paathshala’ sinking at the box-office without a trace, Shahid Kapur now has all his hopes pinned on ‘Badmaash Company’.
