KKR Vs CSK: Shah Rukh To Stay Away From Do-Die Clash
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) co-owner Shah Rukh Khan will not be there to cheer his team in the KKR’s next do or die clash against Chennai Super Kings. The must win game will take place today at the Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
The superstar on his twitter account wrote on Monday, “No, I won't come to Chennai for the match.Think the team needs to introspect and play without my interference...emotional or physical.”
The Knight Riders performance has not been that good in this edition .They are positioned in the sixth place in the ranking chart having gained 10 points from 11 matches with a poor net run rate of -0.417.
Shah Rukh who is concerned about the team’s inconsistent play said, “I think our main issue is winning consecutive games. We haven't since the first two. Momentum and consistence amiss.”Shah Rukh, who is busy shooting for his forthcoming film "Ra. One", also feels that only praying for his team's success will not work. Performance on the field is the only mantra for the Knights.
"Ha ha... someone said better way to pray at KKR matches will help...I don't think so...I think better play at KKR matches will help our cause," he said.
The Knight Riders need to win all three of their remaining matches to stay in contention for a semi final berth. Mumbai Indians have already reserved their semis berth thumping Rajasthan Royals on Sunday.MI will play in semis for the first time while KKR is still to make its semis debut in IPL.
