Rajeshwari (Tabu) is an Indian middle class woman and she married to Vinay (Ayub Khan) who is bank cashier for the last 7 years. She is mother of two lovable children. She has been the driving force in the family daily and her dream is to get her sister Nisha (Uvika Chaudhary) married to the most suitable boy in their Saxena community. Then Rajeshwari with the luck of chance finds a good Saxena boy studying engineering and has prospects of a promising future. Rahul (Sharman Joshi) is a good proposition for her sister and ceasing the chance she gets him to shift into her house as a paying guest.
Rajeshwari finds out that Rahul is not interested in marriage, she smartly plans to bring her sister and make them get to know each other and almost confident that one time he meets Nisha there is no turning away and Rajeshwari's prediction are right. They fall in love. Then Rajeshwari is happy and marriage is fixed "Toh Baat Pakki."
One day Yuvraaj (Vatsal Seth) comes to Rajeshwari's house. Yuvraaj is also a Saxena and he has his own business, he is waiting for getting built his house. Rajeshwari can not believe on her luck. This story takes turn when Rajeshwari tries to set up Nisha with Yuvraaj. Rahul finds out about Rajeshwari's plans through Nisha. Now Rahul wants to change this situation without getting Rajeshwari wary of his plan. Will Rahul get marry with Nisha? Will Rajeshwari get her dreams?
