Hear the way both the interludes start (I guess, in this song 2 parallel sequences will be shown, something like vaanile thenila) IR is the best in putting song for the movie.
So there is no point finding fault in some of his compositions. He can't put anything else for that sequence.
Mauni Naanu Nice melody. Soothing voice of Karthik. Wonderful orchestration! Interludes are brilliant! This song has 2 versions. Swalpa Soundu Lot of tala gimmicks done. Ilayaraja has tried some weird stuffs with his voice. Don't know why but the violin sequence which repeats often in this song reminds me Kadhal Kondain theme. Edaya Baagilu Song of the album. What a feel in voice! Nice and soft interludes.
How can we believe if some one say that this song is composed by an old village man? Shreya Goshal has become everyone's favorite including IR. She has a magnificent voice.
The only present singer who has all chances for becoming a legendary singer like Lata Mangeshkar, Suseela, Janaki etc. IR is using Kunal Ganjanwala often these days. He has a different voice!
Overall, a decent album by Ilayaraja.
