Immediately after the pooja, music director Ouseppachan recorded the fun filled song ‘Machilamma’, in the voice of Pradeep Palluruthy .
‘Bodyguard’ is planned as a Christmas offering from Dileep. According to the present plans of the producers, the shoot for the movie will start on the first of Chingam.
The movie to be cinematographed by Aanandakuttan, will be scripted by the director himself. The other cast and crew details of the movie are awaited. But with the present ban that MACTA has imposed upon Dileep films, the shoot for the movie ‘Bodyguard’, is tend to delay.
Bodyguard movie tells the story of Jayakrishnan (Dileep) who is an young guy with a very strange habits. From his childhood, he is attracted to anyone who shows a miniscule heroism.
But later in real life, he found that crooks were more adventurous and heroic than cops and so started admiring, following and living like them.
As part of his new job, Jayakrishnan is also forced to take care of Ammu (Nayantara) , Ashokan’s (Thyagarajan) daughter. So he moves along Ammu even when she is into her college, as her bodyguard. What rollicking fun follows forms the rest of the plot.
Hit-making director Siddique, who gave us blockbuster entertainers like Friends, Hitler and Chronic Bachelor, now returns to Mollywood after a gap. The last film he directed was the Tamil film Sadhu Mirandaa, with Prasanna, Kavya Madhavan and Abbas in the lead. Siddique makes his comeback to Malayalam with Bodyguard, teaming up with Dileep for the first time.
Bodyguard, scripted by Siddique himself, tells the story of Jayakrishnan, a young guy with a very strange habit. Ever since his childhood he was attracted to anyone who showed a trace of heroism. There was a time when he adored cops for their heroism. And then when he grew up to find that there were crooks who could out do the cops, he started admiring them.
Another strange thing about Jayakrishnan is that whenever he develops an admiration towards a person, he would prefer to move along with that person as sort of a bodyguard. It was thus that he started admiring Ashokan, a former liquor baron who is now a leading businessman and a very influential person. Jayakrishnan wants to be Ashokan’s bodyguard, but the fact is that Ashokan doesn’t need a bodyguard. But since Jayakrishnan approaches Ashokan with recommendation from someone he cannot refuse, he appoints Jayakrishnan as a bodyguard.
As part of his new job, Jayakrishnan moves along with Ammu, Ashokan’s daughter, as her bodyguard. Interesting things happen when Jayakrishnan accompanies Ammu to her college. What follows then forms the rest of the plot.
While Dileep becomes Jayakrishnan, Nayantara makes a comeback to Malayalam after a gap of four years, playing the role of Ammu. Thyagarajan becomes Ashokan. The film also features in the cast debutante actress Mithra (real name Dalma). Bodyguard, like Siddique’s earlier films, will have enough of humour, but is likely to be romantic too.
Top Malayalam actress, Nayanthara, has finished shooting for Malayalam film, Bodyguard. A song, shot at Tata Tea’s Munnar Golf Club, was her last scene. Dileep is the lead actor of the film while veteran actor, Thiagarajan returns to films with Bodyguard. In the meantime, Nayantara is awaiting the release of her Tamil film with actor Suriya.
Bodyguard is the first Siddique-directed film starring Dileep. The director says, “Bodyguard is a typical fun movie with lots of emotion and moves like a thriller. The film is being planned as a mass family entertainer like all my earlier films.”
