PALAIVANA CHOLAI SYNOPSIS
Palaivana Solai is about five thick friends Prabhu, Ramana, Yuvan, Ilavarasu and Aathi.
Ramana (Sanjeev), a poor man whose sister Gayathri is ready for marriage.
He arranges his sister’s marriage with some one. For that he invites his friends and elations. Priya, lover of Prabhu, helps Ramana by giving her mother’s wedding chain. What happens next? Does Prabhu separate from Ramana? Does Priya fall in love with Ramana? Forms the rest of the story.
'Palaivana Cholai', one of the popular movies of Tamil cinema carrying a revolutionary theme will be remade now. Nithin Sathya is expected to don the role enacted by Chandrasekar and 'Dindigul Sarathy' fame Karthiga is touted to play Suhasini's role in the new version that will be directed by K S Dayalan, who had earlier directed 'Kannukku Kannaga'.
Director Dayalan said, "A fresh screenplay is being written based on the original story. We believe that the film will surely woo the present generation. The movie will go to the floors on 19th February at AVM Studios."
To be jointly produced by Vadivel of Maruthi films (producers of the original) and Radhakrishnan, the film will have musical score by Bobby of 'Sollamaley' fame. Evergreen hits from the original 'Megamay Megamay...' and 'Aaalanalum Aalu...' will be remixed for the new version, it is said.
