White’s name, the evil Queen begins her quest to kill the young girl, so she may once again be "the fairest of them all." Snow White’s escape from the evil Queen's plan leads her deep into the forest and to a small cottage where she meets, in one of the most famous scenes in motion picture history, the Seven Dwarfs. Once "off to work" they go, the wicked Queen persuades Snow White to take a bite of a poisonous
apple that places a powerful sleeping curse on the young beauty. Heartbroken, the dwarfs make a glass coffin for their friend, because she is too beautiful to bury. Only when a handsome Prince -- who
had previously fallen in love with Snow White -- finds her and kisses her, does she awaken, "to live happily ever after."
BLU-RAY: The timeless classic that has being the face of Disney for more than 70 years, just when through a state-of-the-art digital restoration that is as perfect as it can be. The richly detailed animation it is just amazing in this release. Early this year we had the pleasure of seen the magical restoration of another classic, Pinocchio. However visually speaking this is by far the best digital restoration performed by Disney Animation Studios. After watching this classic in high definition, it is just hard to believe that this masterpiece was released more than 70 years ago.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Diamond Edition is presented in a full screen format 1.33:1. For me it was surprising to see that the studio did not expanded the picture to a widescreen format, nevertheless it doesn't take anything away from the quality of the picture. Even with the full screen format, I was stunned by array of bright colors.
Not just the picture was restored in this diamond edition, also the sound was upgraded with an all new 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio (48kHz/24bit) that completes the delightful experience of this memorable classic, however I have to mention that the sound restoration is not as perfect as the pictures. Nevertheless it is an upgraded.
Disney Home Entertainment has done it again with this diamond edition, making it a must see and own before it goes back to the Disney's vault. The beautiful animation and the unforgettable music will continue to deliver the Disney magic for generations to come.

Disney Home Entertainment it is releasing to own the new Platinum Edition on 2-disc Blu-ray Hi-Def and 1 disc DVD. The 2-disc Blu-ray is a Special Offer Combo Pack that also includes a DVD copy of the of the classic movie, allowing fans to own this classic story on standard def DVD while they are preparing to upgrade to 1080p Hi-def Blu-ray, so consumers can “future-proof” their collection.
